Terms and refunds

Last updated 2 November 2026

Short, because the product is simple: you make a poster from your own data, and you can buy the clean print file.

What walked is

walked is a web app at walked.city that draws a poster of the streets you walked from your own Google Maps Timeline export, entirely on your device. The free preview, 1200 x 1600 pixels with a mark across it, is yours to keep at no cost.

What you buy

• One print (USD 12): one export of the clean print file, 7200 x 9600 pixels.
• Five prints (USD 15): five exports, any city, any time, no expiry.
• A print is one export of a poster design. Downloading the same design again is free. Changing the design and exporting again counts as a new print; the app tells you before it does.
• Your purchase comes as a license key, in the receipt email and in the app. The key works on any device; paste it into the app on another one.

Who sells it

The sale is made by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record. They take the payment, charge any tax, issue the receipt and process refunds. Prices are shown tax included. Their terms: lemonsqueezy.com/terms.

What you may do with the file

• Print it, frame it, give it as a gift, post it. It is your poster, made from your walks.
• Please do not sell the file or prints of it, or offer walked's output as a service to others.
• The street data in the poster is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL; the small credit printed in the margin stays on the file.

Refunds

• If the print file does not download or is defective, write within 14 days of the purchase and you get a full refund, or a working file, your choice.
• The file is produced on your device the moment you export it and is yours from then on, so after a successful export a refund is given only for a defect, not for a change of mind. Use the free preview first; it shows exactly what the print file contains.
• Unused prints on a five-print key are not refunded separately, but they never expire.
• To ask for a refund, reply to the receipt email from Lemon Squeezy or use the link in it.

What we do not promise

• That your Timeline contains what you remember. walked draws what Google recorded; it cannot recover history that was never saved.
• Street coverage everywhere. A city without a street pack cannot be drawn yet.
• Uninterrupted service. The app is offered as is; if it is down, your saved prints stay in your browser.
